HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Evansville Police Foundation announced that a new horse has been purchased for the Evansville Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit.
According to a release, Midnight was purchased with funding provided by the West Side Nut Club. EPD and the West Side Nut Club are expected to introduce Midnight during a press conference in front of the West Side Nut Club on October 5.
“The Mounted Patrol Unit is an important resource for EPD, providing a highly visible police presence while also creating unique opportunities for officers to engage with the community,” said Evansville Police Foundation Executive Director Ashley McReynolds. “The Nut Club continues to step up when our officers need resources, and we are thankful for their investment in this unit and in the safety of Evansville.”…
