CHEROKEE COUNTY, N.C. — A man wanted on multiple counts in Tennessee and North Carolina is now in custody after authorities say he was seen walking next to US Highway 64 west on Thursday.
A release from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office says the county’s E-911 service received a call about a man walking along the highway on September 24.
