State Police: Man killed after being struck by vehicle on Rhode Island highway

A weekend highway collision between a vehicle and pedestrian turned deadly in Rhode Island.

According to Rhode Island State Police, at just before 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, Troopers from the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks received multiple 911 calls reporting a pedestrian walking in the lanes of travel on Route 95 North, near the exit 40 off-ramp in Pawtucket.

Upon arrival in the area, Troopers observed several vehicles in the right breakdown lane. Troopers also located a deceased male in the center lane. All vehicles involved remained on scene and cooperated with investigators…
