One of two people taken to a hospital after deputies responded to North Alameda Avenue early Monday died; the other was wounded. The response followed a 2:28 a.m. report of a man with a gun near the 3000 block of the avenue.
The confirmation came from Jenny L. Smith, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, in details reported by the San Bernardino Sun. Authorities have not released what led to the shooting, and it remains unclear whether the two victims were found at separate locations. The sheriff’s department has also not confirmed whether either victim was a minor.
No suspect has been reported found. The circumstances that brought a man with a gun to North Alameda Avenue before sunrise remain part of an open investigation, according to the same report.
