(FOX40.COM) — A jury has awarded a retired highway patrol officer’s widow nearly $16 million, siding against well-known Sacramento developer Phil Oates after a two-week civil trial.
The Placer County jury returned its unanimous verdict Monday, the plaintiff’s attorneys announced in a news release. In a 12-0 vote, the jury awarded Miranda Flores a sum of $15.8 million.
