(KRON) — A pedestrian was killed in Santa Rosa Monday morning in what police say appears to be a hit and run. According to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log, units responded to the area of Guerneville Road and Frei Road shortly before 8 a.m.

At the scene, officers found the victim’s body in an “unnatural position” in a ditch at the edge of the road, along with broken glasses and headphones in the street. An ambulance was called for the victim who was later declared deceased.
According to the CHP, a bicycle with major damage located one to two miles away might be associated with the crash. CHP investigators remain on the scene.
