An Ohio appeals court Friday overturned the dismissal of a widow’s workers compensation appeal, finding that the trial court was required to transfer the case to the proper county.
Christina Hamilton sought death benefits after her husband died from injuries sustained in a June 2024 automobile accident in Scioto County. She alleged the accident occurred in the course of his employment with a Kentucky-based company, according to Hamilton v. Bridgeport Equipment & Tool Ltd.
