U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz met in Greeley last week to discuss alleged fraud and abuse within Colorado’s Medicaid system and visit the University of Northern Colorado’s new College of Osteopathic Medicine.
“I’m grateful to Administrator Oz for visiting Colorado’s Eighth District to sit down with the doctors, hospitals, healthcare providers, and local leaders who serve our communities every day,” Evans said. “Medicaid is a lifeline for our most vulnerable neighbors, and protecting the program means making sure every taxpayer dollar is spent responsibly and reaches the people who truly need it.”
