A developer’s proposal to build 16 condos on a large parcel next to Garvey Playground and Morrissey Boulevard was the subject of a virtual meeting hosted by the Boston Planning Department on Sept. 16.
The project, proposed for Tolman Street and adjoining land near Morrissey Boulevard, calls for the demolition of an existing single-family house at 25 Tolman St. that would be replaced with a six-unit building designed to resemble a three-decker. It also calls for three new townhouses to be built behind it, and seven additional townhouses closer to Morrissey Boulevard. The development would include 16 parking spaces — one for each unit.
Mike Ross, an attorney representing the proponent, Adnan Salam, said 10 of the 16 units would have three bedrooms each. “These three bedrooms we think will be perfect for families, for young families, for people looking to expand into a family,” Ross said…
