WAUKESHA, Wis. — A nearly 10-mile stretch of I-43 in southeast Wisconsin is getting a major overhaul beginning this fall.
Governor Tony Evers has approved a $68.1 million pavement replacement and improvement project along the I-43 Rock Freeway between Highway 83 and Bowers Road in Waukesha and Walworth counties.
Preparation work is scheduled to begin the week of October 5, including temporary emergency pullouts and widening of lanes and ramps. Drivers should expect some overnight lane and ramp closures during that work…
