A Lehigh County man was duped out of $2 million after meeting two different women on dating apps, state police said.
Pennsylvania State Police in Fogelsville said the 62-year-old victim from Upper Milford Township reported the incidents on Sept. 21. He specifically chatted with the women on the WhatsApp and Telegram apps and the conversations spanned several months, according to police.
In the scams, the women instructed the victim to download various apps on his cellphone before transferring cash from his bank account into the apps. The women told the victim it would turn the money into virtual currency…
