Actress Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating a joyful milestone as she embraces her new role as a grandmother. Her grandson, Bond Leo Bure, born to her son Lev and his wife Elliott, recently returned home after a challenging start. The couple revealed on September 27 that Bond arrived 10 weeks prematurely, weighing just three pounds.
Candace, known for her breakout role on Full House and her work in Great American Family films following a long tenure with Hallmark Channel, shared an update on September 29. She confirmed that Bond was born on August 4 and included touching photos from the NICU. The images show Lev standing watch over Bond’s incubator and Elliott cradling their tiny newborn, both wrapped snugly in blankets.
“Baby Bond was born 10 weeks early weighing 3 lbs,” Candace wrote. “For the next 6 weeks NICU doctors, nurses and mom and dad were amazing in their care and love for him. He’s thriving and is finally home.”
Candace expressed her deep affection for her grandson, saying, “I had no idea the love I would have for my grandchild. It’s a love like no other, beyond anything I imagined.
My heart is so full. Bond is surrounded with so much love, by his devoted and incredible parents, aunt and uncles and his two sets of grandparents.
Not to mention all of his extended family and friends. To those who knew, thank you for all your prayers and love.
What a blessing we’ve been given.”
The heartfelt announcement drew an outpouring of congratulations from fans and friends alike. Among them was Jason Hervey, former star of The Wonder Years, who warmly commented, “You know my grandson Shia is now two and it’s the greatest joy in my life being ‘Papa J’!!!
