BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Jay Thomas Maneul wants his new character on the PBS series “Donkey Hodie” to be the “Mouse” that roared. Manuel – who has built a career breaking barriers while living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3 and Autism – is providing the voice for Jeff Mouse. The popular children’s programming has given Manuel another platform to work for those with disabilities.
“I definitely believe that ‘Donkey Hodie’ has given me an opportunity to reach an audience that I may not have before,” Manuel says.” It is something that means so much to me, especially being able to be a part of a children’s show starting out when they’re young.
“It’s super important to have that kind of representation when you are younger because it really sticks with you throughout.”…
