With Halloween approaching, churches, community organizations, businesses, and local attractions across Erie County are preparing a full month of trunk-or-treat events.
West County Fitness and Tanning II will host their trunk-or-treat on October 10 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The community event will feature trunk-or-treating, festive music, and community spirit. They are looking for trunks and those interested in passing out candy can text (814) 969-2916.
On October 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Siebenbuerger Club, 2114 French Street in Erie will host a trunk-or-treat event. The free community event will feature candy, decorated trunks and tables, a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, music, and appearances by a fire truck and police vehicle. Organizers are seeking volunteers to decorate trunks or tables and provide at least 1,000 pieces of candy. Awards will be given to the top three decorated displays.
The McKean Hose Company is planning to host their first ever trunk-or-treat event on October 16 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McKean Rec Park located at 8800 Main Street.
