Marquez Beeks returned to Fayetteville on Friday, Sept. 25. He gave away more than 60 pairs of shoes to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders at Luther “Nick” Jeralds Middle School. The former wide receiver brought his nonprofit, Touching Soles Inc., back to where he once played college ball.
The founder and CEO of Touching Soles hosted an outreach event. Students got lunch, too. Roots Mentoring, a community partner, handed out T-shirts.
