By the time guests arrived for Trolley Pub Fayetteville’s grand opening, the hardest work had already disappeared from view.
They saw the bright trolley, a finished gathering space and a Detroit-to-Fayetteville mural connecting the owners’ roots to their newest venture. They could not see the delayed plans, rising expenses, late nights or decisions that forced co-owners Kevin Walker and Darnisha James to reconsider a path without abandoning the destination.
“The hardest part was probably everything people didn’t see,” Walker said. “The grand opening was one day. Getting there was the real story.”…
