MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man accused of shooting and killing a 17-year-old in May 2024 has pleaded guilty.

According to court documents, Carl Mitchell Washington Jr. withdrew a plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty to murder.
He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, with credit for time served since his arrest.
Washingtonshot and killed a 17-year-old on May 7, 2024, in front of a home in the 1600 block of Darwood Drive in Mobile. The shooting happened around 3:30 in the morning.
