MOBILE, Ala. — A 30-year-old Mobile man has been sentenced to more than three years in federal prison for the 2025 robbery of a local PNC Bank branch, federal prosecutors announced.
U.S. District Court Judge Kristi K. DuBose ordered Montreal Leonta Anderson, 30, to serve 37 months in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release.
Demand Note Leads to Swift Arrest
According to court records, the incident occurred on March 3, 2025, when Anderson entered a PNC Bank branch in Mobile and handed a teller a written note demanding money.
The bank teller activated a silent alarm during the encounter. Officers with the Mobile Police Department responded quickly to the alert and took Anderson into custody at the scene without further incident.
