Man in Amarillo indicted on firearm, drug charges in federal court

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A man was indicted in multiple charges in federal court on drug and firearm possession according to court documents filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas Amarillo Division.

6th person facing drug charges enters plea agreement

A federal grand jury indicted Richard Whitebird on one count of “Possession with Intent to Distribute 50 grams or More of Methamphetamine,” one count of “Felon in Possession of a Firearm,” and one count of “Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime.”

Court documents show that the charges stem from an alleged traffic stop in Potter County last month.
