AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin man is honoring his mother and Hispanic roots through his creation of the salsa brand, Fantastic Fuego.
Owner Tony Nunez said that he initially was going to open up a food truck, but his plans changed after experimenting with different salsa recipes to impress his wife.
“I wanted to impress her, so I’m like, I’m going to make you my version of that salsa, since that’s your favorite. She tried it, and she was like, ‘Wow. You sold. You need to enter this at the Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival or something,'” Nunez said…
