AUSTIN, Texas — A Mississippi man charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths of two women at a Wells Branch-area apartment told detectives the women pointed guns at him before he opened fire, according to an arrest affidavit.
Michael Robinson Jr., 24, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, is charged in the deaths of Anecia Kay Thacker, 37, and Lamonica Webb, 32, who were found dead Sept. 23 in their apartment in the 3400 block of Shoreline Drive. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office initially investigated the deaths as a possible murder-suicide before determining they were a double homicide.
Robinson said that after he went into a bedroom, Thacker opened the door and pointed a handgun at him, the affidavit states. He told detectives he grabbed her gun during a struggle, then took his own gun from a bag and tried to leave while Thacker blocked his way…
