Thanks to the Lubbock Police Department’s (LPD) Crime & Safety webpage, we can see the full map of crime hotspots. If you’re like me, then you’ll be surprised to see what the most common crime was over the last seven days.
Most Common Lubbock Crimes
According to LPD, the most common crimes in no particular order that Lubbock encounters each day includes the following:
- Vehicle break-ins
- Vandalism
- Larceny
- Motor Vehicle theft
- Fraud
- DUI
- Assault
- Disturbing the peace
- Burglary
Now, here’s the kicker: Can you guess the one crime that officers respond to the most? That would be assault. In fact, over the past week, 17 of the last 59 records (29%) fell into this category.
