A powerful nor’easter that battered the East Coast for days has uncovered a surprising piece of New Orleans history nearly 150 years after it disappeared beneath the sand.
The storm eroded parts of Nantucket Island in Massachusetts, revealing what appears to be the remains of the “Warren Sawyer,” a wooden sailboat that dates back to the late 1800s.
