Taser fired in St. Louis courtroom as victim’s relative rushes toward convicted killer

ST. LOUIS – A deputy fired a Taser in a St. Louis courtroom Monday as tensions escalated and a victim’s family member rushed toward a convicted killer during his sentencing hearing, officials say.

On Monday, a judge sentenced Clyde Sanders, 38, to 25 years in prison in connection with the shooting death of Kobe Dotson on April 25, 2023 in south St. Louis.

Sanders reached a plea agreement with prosecutors Friday in Dotson’s death. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges, while prosecutors dismissed nine other charges as part of his plea deal…
