Utah Foundation Connects Families to Investigators at First Unsolved Day in Salt Lake City, Bringing State Agencies Together on Cold Missing Person and Murder Cases

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — A Utah foundation brought families and investigators together Saturday for its first Utah Unsolved Day, an event focused on missing persons and murder cases that have gone cold.

The gathering was organized by the Sherry Black Foundation as part of a broader effort to keep unresolved cases active and give relatives a direct way to speak with the people working them.

Foundation leaders said the goal was to create a setting where families could ask questions, share information and hear from agencies involved in the investigations. The event also aimed to make state resources more visible to people still waiting for answers.
