A recent report from NBC News sheds light on how Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 56-year-old rapper currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, appears to be living a notably comfortable life behind bars. According to sources, Combs is reportedly spending thousands of dollars each month to secure various luxuries during his incarceration.
The report claims that Combs has managed to obtain contraband items, including an illegal phone and a selection of alcoholic beverages. An Instagram post shared by NBC News shows Combs using a phone inside the federal prison, with insiders describing his lifestyle as far from typical.
“This is not some normal stuff you see in jail. This is some rich stuff,” one source explained.
“It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”
Further details reveal that Combs employs fellow inmates to handle tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and even providing massages. He is also said to frequently use his phone to browse social media platforms like Instagram, as well as to view explicit photos sent by a former girlfriend.
On weekends, the artist reportedly enjoys premium alcohol, including Hennessy, and uses antidepressant medication obtained from other inmates. One source confirmed, “Hell yeah, I drank with him.”
In addition, Combs has allegedly paid inmates to store his extensive physical fan mail, which reportedly exceeds the space available in his cell. Sources also allege he possesses a “jailbroken” tablet that allows him to watch movies, TV shows, and documentaries, including a Netflix documentary about his legal troubles titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
This report offers a rare glimpse into the unique circumstances surrounding Combs’ prison experience, highlighting how his celebrity status continues to influence his life even behind bars.
