Residents near Glenwood South voiced frustrations Tuesday night over crime, noise and large crowds they say are affecting their neighborhoods, calling for increased police presence and greater accountability for businesses in the entertainment district.
The concerns were raised during a joint meeting hosted by the Hillsborough-Wade Citizens Advisory Council and the Five Points Council. Neighbors said they are dealing with car break-ins, burglaries and excessive noise, particularly on weekends when crowds fill Glenwood South.
“It’s three and four in the morning,” one neighbor said. “Four nights a week.”…
