CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The Central Water Line Project is continuing to move through Charlottesville.
The project broke ground last fall on the water line, which will span 6.5 miles total. So far, crews have completed just over a mile of the line.
The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority says crews have installed more than 5,400 feet of 30-inch ductile iron pipe. Crews have also installed 12 feet of 24-inch ductile iron pipe, 281 feet of eight-inch ductile iron pipe for the city, and 240 feet of two-inch cross-linked polyethylene pipe for the city…
