(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Our stretch of beautiful weather rolls on! We’ve got a wonderful weather Wednesday ahead with more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures in the mid 80s.
We’ll start to feel just a little more humidity by late week before a slow-moving front moves into the region. Plan for a rainy weekend ahead with this front! As of now, it’s looking pretty soggy from Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. Rain could be heavy at times, adding up to 2-3 inches by the time all is said and done. Storms are possible, too — mainly Saturday — but not expecting a big risk of severe storms. With all the rain, though, some minor flooding could occur.
Will the rain move out for the Lions-Panthers primetime game Sunday night? There’s still some uncertainty there. Keep checking in for updates! Plan for a wet tailgate, though.
In the wake of the front early next week, we may get some of the coolest weather of the season so far. Highs could struggle to break out of the 60s in parts of the Piedmont next Tuesday!
