Cranston mayor outlines potential long-term solutions to Oaklawn Avenue flooding

CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — The Oaklawn Avenue underpass did not flood during the most recent storm, but Cranston officials say they are working toward a longer-term solution for a location that has repeatedly filled with water during heavy rain.

Cranston Mayor Ken Hopkins said the city and state have been studying options to address the problem, which he said has gone unresolved for decades.
