VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was found bleeding outside a convenience store in Vista early Wednesday morning, and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident as a homicide.
Deputies responded around 3:14 a.m. to the ampm in the 1400 block of East Vista Way after a caller reported seeing a man bleeding near the front entrance of the store, officials said.
When deputies arrived, they found the man lying on the ground covered in blood. First responders performed CPR but he was pronounced dead.
The circumstances leading up to the man’s injuries were not immediately known. Authorities said the man appeared to be alone when he was found.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives responded to the scene and have secured the area to conduct an investigation. The surrounding commercial area, which includes a Better Buzz, is being impacted, with caution tape seen around the coffee shop’s drive through area.
