BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge police are searching for a 20-year-old man wanted for attempted murder and rape after a woman says he beat and stabbed her multiple times inside a home on Geronimo Street.
According to police, Tyson Wright hit the victim in the head with a gun, beat her and then stabbed her seven or eight times in the chest with a pair of scissors. The woman says he later raped her.
She was treated for serious injuries at a hospital and then moved to another state to live with family. She did not make an in-person statement until recently, which is why Baton Rouge police issued the arrest warrant this week…
