Construction is expected to begin on a mixed-use building that will be built on the site of the former Black Cat Ice Cream shop on Cottage Grove Avenue before the end of the year, said Danny Heggen, manager partner of DEV Partners.
Heggen and DEV Partners plan to construct an 8,500-square-foot building on the site at 2511 Cottage Grove Ave. The new building will have two commercial spaces and one residential space on the first floor and four residential units on the second floor, Heggen said.
“We’re just waiting for site plan approval and permit reviews from the city, and once we get those across the finish line we should be cleared to start construction,” he said…
