GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Port Green Bay moved 213,188 metric tons of cargo through the port in August, bringing the year-to-date total to 912,098 metric tons.
The year-to-date total is 9% higher than August 2025.
“August kept Port Green Bay on a strong course as we moved through the heart of the shipping season,” said Dean Haen, Port Green Bay director. “We’re pleased with the level of activity we’ve seen this summer and look forward to carrying that momentum into the fall.”

Seven commodities moved through the port in August: cement (43,844 tons), coal (17,784 tons), gypsum (4,747 tons), limestone (44,276 tons), salt (59,016 tons), petroleum products (40,028 tons) and wood pulp/paper reels (3,493 tons)…
