MONONA, Wis. (WMTV) -What started as a routine evening walk with her dog along Monona’s Lake Loop quickly escalated into a frightening encounter for Carly Major Saturday evening.
Major says she was walking with her senior dog near Broadway when she noticed a man approaching and following her. Trusting her gut, Major immediately altered her path so she would not lead a stranger back to her front door.
“So I turned around and noticed after about half a block that he started following me,” Major said. “And so I diverted my course away from my home towards the courtyard around Buck & Honey’s.”
As Major crossed the Broadway bridge over the waterway, the situation escalated. She says the man took off his shirt and ran across four lanes of busy traffic, attempting to cut off her route. Scared, Major ran directly into Buck & Honey’s restaurant to seek refuge…
