NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to identify and arrest at least three suspects who are accused of multiple car burglaries in the same night and in the same neighborhood. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
St. Roch murder remains unsolved 10 years later
According to police, the burglaries happened a little after midnight on the morning of Sept. 21 in the 6900 block of Argonne Boulevard in Lakeview. Police released security camera footage that shows two men walking in the area while they were being followed by their getaway car, which police describe as a silver Jeep. Police did not say what model of Jeep was used.
Police say the thieves stole multiple bank cards during the burglaries and less than an hour later, were using those cards to make purchases at a Brother’s Mart in the 100 block of Carondelet Street in the CBD. The NOPD also released security camera video from inside the store that they say shows at least two of the suspects.
