Fresh details about the Ohio “house of horrors” case have come to light after the grandmother’s public defender filed a motion to have her client’s bond reduced days after entering her not guilty plea.
Christina Siders, 67, is currently sitting in Southeast Ohio Regional Jail after getting slapped with 19 counts of child endangerment following her arrest in June. Authorities found 16 children living in horrific conditions after searching her Hamden home, where she lived with her husband, son, his wife, and the young couple’s 16 children. At the time, police had described the children, ranging in age from 1 to 18, as living like “feral animals” in just one 12-by-12 room in the filthy home. The children have since been placed in protective custody after being medically evaluated.
Now, after entering a not guilty plea to all charges in court on Sept. 25, the grandmother’s attorney, Kandra Roberts, filed a motion to have her client’s bonds, currently set at $300,000, reduced to reunite with the children…
