A well-known Jacksonville brewery is heading for last call. Hyperion Brewing Co. said it will close after service on Sept. 27 at its Springfield location, ending a run that began in 2017.
The announcement hit a nerve locally because Hyperion has been part of Jacksonville’s small-brewery crowd for years. The company shared the news publicly, but it has not announced what will happen to the space after it closes.
Hyperion sets a final service date
Hyperion Brewing Co. said its final day of service will be Sept. 27. The brewery made the announcement on social media and told customers it plans to celebrate through the final weekend.
The brewery is located in Springfield, one of Jacksonville’s best-known historic neighborhoods. Hyperion opened there in 2017, giving the area a brewery taproom that became a regular gathering place for beer releases, casual nights out and neighborhood events…
