CLAYTON — The community will come together Friday, Oct. 2 for a fundraiser benefiting 8-year-old Janson Herring and his family as he undergoes treatment for a rare, inoperable brain tumor.
The fundraiser for Janson Herring will be held from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the American Leadership Academy Johnston Upper School Campus, located at 3770 U.S. Highway 70 Business in Clayton.
Janson, a third-grader at ALA Johnston, was recently diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, or DIPG, according to his family. The tumor is located near the brain stem and cannot be surgically removed…
