* Cavender’s (Tyler, Texas) has opened its 150th store, in Springfield, Mo. The shop’s focus is on cowboy hats, offering than 4000 such hats in 400-plus styles, along with expert fitting, shaping and customization. The experience is anchored by a 30-foot hat bar equipped with six commercial steamers that allow hat shapers to work side by side. Another highlight is a 58-foot premium hat wall displays more than 100 styles, an American flag made from 156 custom felt hats and a chandelier constructed from 40 vintage hats.
* Williams & Sonoma’s fledgling Rejuvenation (Portland, Ore.) portfolio brand has taken the wraps off its first store in Dallas, which is also its second in Texas (the other is in Houston) and 14th overall. Located in Inwood Village, the new 7000-square-foot Dallas space offers Rejuvenation’s assortment of lighting, hardware, bath collections, furniture, textiles, mirrors and one-of-a-kind vintage finds. San Francisco-based W&S acquired Rejuvenation in 2011.
