PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A star-studded cast is filming a romantic comedy in the Rose City.
“Egg Baby” has begun production, the Portland Events and Film Office confirmed to KOIN 6. The movie will star “Barbie” actress Ariana Greenblatt as a rebellious teen who must co-parent an egg with a football player — portrayed by Kingston Rumi Southwick — for their health class, Deadline reported earlier in June.

“Our office is working hard to uphold our reputation as a premier location for film productions, uplifting the local film ecosystem and promoting filmmaking in Portland,” Portland Events and Film Office’s Film Industry Project Manager Elyse Taylor Liburd said. “For that, we are very excited for productions like ‘Egg Baby.’”
Deadline has also reported that Jean Smart will appear in the film as Ms. Downey. The entertainment news outlet noted it will be Smart’s first project since her five-season run on HBO’s “Hacks,” which has earned her five Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series…
