CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston County says federal pandemic relief dollars tied to the long-delayed 275 Huger Street project need to be spent by the end of this year.
The county now wants to put that money toward a new project that could bring 52 affordable apartments to downtown Charleston.
There is no building yet at the site on Aiken Street. Three empty lots sit there now, along with a plan that could eventually put 52 homes in their place…
