Contractor taken to hospital after bucket lift hits electrical wires in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after a bucket lift he was in touched electrical wires in the 4300 block of Willys Parkway, according to a battalion chief at the scene.

The battalion chief said a private contractor was cutting down branches around 8:15 p.m. when the bucket lift touched electrical wires, cutting power to the lift and leaving him stuck.

Toledo Edison shut down the power so crews could get the man down, authorities said…
