TxDOT stations 1,200 crews statewide amid flash flood threat in Central Texas

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has over 1,200 crews deployed statewide in preparation for heavy rain and potential flash flooding, part of a storm that’s expected to move through the Austin metro area Thursday mid-morning.

Drivers can expect to see an uptick in signs and message boards on Austin roads and highways.
