Former St. Louis tax preparer gets 56 months for false tax return

A former St. Louis tax preparer was sentenced Wednesday to 56 months in federal prison for preparing false tax returns and was ordered to repay $270,793.

U.S. District Judge Joshua M. Divine sentenced Latasha L. Frison, 39, following her conviction on 16 counts of aiding and assisting in the preparation and presentation of false and fraudulent tax returns.
