Marion County says Army Corps is trying to hide Detroit Lake drawdown records

MARION COUNTY, Ore. (KATU) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is trying to stop both Marion County and the court from seeing its own administrative records before a judge decides if the agency can move forward with plans to drain Detroit Lake this fall.

This is the latest development in the ongoing legal fight between Marion County and the Army Corps, which centers around the Corps’ proposal to lower water levels in Detroit Lake to help endangered spring Chinook salmon migrate downstream.
