TROY, N.Y. (WNYT) — A man said he helped carry a neighbor from a burning home in Troy in the city’s second serious fire in less than a week.
Jacob Martell told NewsChannel 13 said he was working in an alley near his mother’s home on Sixth Avenue, when he smelled smoke and ran to check where it was coming from.
“I was in the alleyway working on my truck and I am smelling like a distinct smell, so I ran over to the see where the smoke was coming from and I heard the old man yelling ‘help help’” Martell said…
