TROY — Deputy Police Chief Steven Barker expects police to make an arrest in the “near future” in connection with a string of thefts, in which tip jars and cellphones were among items stolen from Troy businesses.
Barker said city police have identified “two persons of interest” in the ongoing investigation. Police believe one of them may be a juvenile.
Olivia Clemente, executive director of the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District, said she spoke with police Thursday about the recent thefts.
