Shelter-in-place lifted at Shalom Park in Charlotte after concerning call

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A shelter-in-place at Shalom Park was lifted Thursday morning after a concerning phone call prompted a security response, according to the Foundation of Shalom Park.

The call came at about 8 a.m. The Foundation notified the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and placed the campus under shelter-in-place for about an hour while authorities assessed the situation.
