KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Newly obtained video footage shared moments leading up to a shooting that left a Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputy injured, followed by a car chase through three counties in July.
Jaylen Lispey was arraigned on July 20 on 14 counts, including assault with intent to murder, carjacking and disarming an officer. Lipsey appeared in court on Wednesday as his case was bound over to circuit court.
Video obtained by News 8 through a Freedom of Information Act request captured the struggle that officials say broke out between Lipsey and Deputy Kaleb Mortimer.
